A friend of mine is stealthily introducing Lidl's fake products into her general shop to see if her son notices... she's 8 products in so far, and it's gone undetected, except one comment about the Caramel Wafer bars rebranding... but he still thought they were the same product! ๐ ๐ ๐
Lucy I think you've just revealed Meghan Markle's plans for American Riviera Orchard - with such a bland meaningless name, she must be aiming to cut a deal with Lidl!
As for skincare, have you tried jojoba oil? I've been using it for a year (I'm 50) and it's helped my skin a lot.
As a packaging designer I love a good off brand or own-brand as we call them, ๐ it is the ultimate compliment to be copied, they say, although inevitable perhaps in these economic times!
I once worked in an agency for aldi and it was a fun time. My favourite challenge was coco pops but without the monkey, or a brand coming in wanting to pitch to aldi: โlike my brand but cheaperโ it is a funny old world.
I have rosacea and breakouts (thanks my 40s!) and use Cerave cleanser and moisturiser. It doesnโt really help but it also doesnโt aggravate. Sure thereโs a b*witched themed lidl knock off in the make called Cโestlave!
I think you should move to Canada and audition for This Hour has 22 Minutes. You would be snatched up!
I know you are thinking because I am Canadian, Iโm going to suggest bear grease for your skin. No. Try Egyptian Magic. Yes, it looks like Vaseline, but apply it at night. It would be too reflective in the day time:/
Anything natural with rose in it will help rosacea - my MUA on a job I did used to have a little spray bottle from Amazon with ยฃ2 supermarket rose water in it to spray on actorsโ faces throughout the day so they didnโt look red on camera. Also thereโs a v nice natural brand called Heavenly Organics that do a rose & geranium eye & face cream. It cleans off makeup *and* moisturises so you donโt have to worry about overloading your skin x
Haha love this! Tesco do this too - the cheaper brands have these very old timey twee names but actually they're imported. Just a way to fool the customer.

For some reason, Freshona remined me of Stankonia (Outcast album title).

Loved this Lucy.

Have you tried Weleda Skin Feed Light? Itโs so gentle, so soothing and it moisturises well.
Have you tried rose hip oil? I get mine from โThe Ordinaryโ, or they do other face oils, mostly very plain with just one ingredient.
Also baby oil, if you put it on in the shower you can rinse it and it wonโt feel oily but itโs still very good for dry skin.
Iโve had ezcema my whole life and since swapping to oils rather than cream moisturisers it has cleared up.
Gripper Stebson!
