THIS WEEK: One sandwich short of a picnic

When Bryan Adams sang ‘Everything I do, I do it for you’ he was actually referring to me buying the new viral M&S chocolate, strawberry and pistachio creme sandwich and eating it for your entertainment.

It had to be done. I mean, no, it didn’t, but as we’ve already established this week, pistachio is now considered the height of fashion, a bit like when Victorians went bonkers over arsenic green and died. And the very latest way to eat the gloopy stuff is between two thick slices of dry chocolate bread filled with waterlogged fruit - so how could the Lucyverse miss the chance to try that? Those vomiting noises you can hear are the sound of being on trend.

Anyway, let’s spend £4 (!!) and see wtf they’re like, shall we?
